Are you looking to
live 'off the grid' with solar power and/or battery
power? Are you looking for a way to cool off on a camping
trip, on your front deck, or at your favorite fall
tailgating party? You need a rechargeable
fan!
Having a fan
to help you get through a hot day can be a huge
relief. These gadgets
are designed to send currents of cool air in your direction,
allowing a space to have a nice breeze which can make the
surroundings much more comfortable for
anyone.
Fans
historically have on electric power, using a motor to spin the
fan blades, which provides the breeze that people have come to
rely on. Some spaces,
however, do not have the ability to give the electric current
needed for a fan and this can be quite an
obstacle.
Enter the
rechargeable fan.
Recently, battery operated fans have been
built which, obviously, can operate on battery power,
allowing these devices to be portable and still provide the
relief that people expect from the
fans. One of the
drawbacks to the battery operated fan, however, is that once
the batteries run dry, they will need to be replaced so that
the fan can continue to work.
This can end
up being more costly than desired for the relief which is being
provided. Thankfully, with
the advent of rechargeable batteries, this issue is no longer
quite the problem it once may have
been.
One can now
buy these ‘rechargeable fans’ with rechargeable batteries
already built into the unit. These fans are constructed so that they are
able to run on both electric power and the battery power, for
the batteries will charge on the electric power being taken
from the socket, even while the fan is currently running on
that same electric power.
This makes the fan
able to operate in a variety of locations, from being a
regular fan plugged into a wall socket to being a fan
that one could take to the beach or a camping trip to
allow some breeze on a hot, sunny
day.
Some models
of rechargeable fans have the ability to hold both the
rechargeable batteries and more traditional, replaceable
batteries. This will allow for the fan to run on
multiple types of battery power, giving it the potential to
last for a much longer time frame than either battery on its
own would allow.

Some
rechargeable fans are in development (some
hitting the market) that recharge via solar
power (solar fan, or solar rechargeable fan);
these are great for homes that are built ‘off
the grid’, or simply for those people who want
to be more energy
efficient.
Rechargeable
fans can cost anywhere from
$30 on up, largely dependent on all of the
features which the fans might
possess. Some fans are larger and can
move more air, while some rechargeable fans are
more compact and easily stored and
transported.

It all will
depend on what the consumer is looking
for. However, having
a rechargeable battery operated fan will allow
any consumer to experience the comfort a fan can provide in any
location they might feel the need for
one!
